Following on from my post regarding, How to Create a Citrix XenApp Service Account.
If you miss the three tick boxes when creating an SQL login account, you can end up with the Service Account password in a “must change state”. Obviously without been a real user (with a login prompt) this can not be achieved, in addition, you may also want to change the Password Policy and / or Expiration.
In order to fix this issue, you can’t just edit the user as the box is greyed out! So follow these steps:
Open the Microsoft SQL Server Management
Expand Security, then Users
Right Click, the Service Account user and choose Properties (the Tick box will still be grey). Change the Password, you can even choose the same password if you want! As soon as you do that, the tick boxes are magically available.
If you miss something out, this process can be repeated again and again
