In order to access the LUN Presentation screen, please put the software into Maintenance Mode.
The RAID Groups as displayed in the GUI, are made up from the actual Physical Disks in the trays. This can be shown by, right click on a RAID Group and choose Display Drive Configuration. If you do this for each RAID Group you will see a picture of how the Physical Disk allocation matches the logical presentation inside the Management Tool.
In the example below, we have two Trays, each sub-divided into a number of RAID Groups.
|SATA Groups are always RAID 6||Meaning that their are 2 parity disks within each Group (5+2)|
|FC Groups are usually RAID 5||Meaning that their is only 1 parity disk within each Group (4+1)Here we also have a RAID 1 mirrored pair, to provide speedy access|
If you know the sizes of each physical disk in each slot, you can now marry up the RAID Group sizes.
